PURE ONYX is an adult beat 'em up RPG for Windows PC.
The game is currently in development on SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.
Please be aware of the following!
- This purchase will not be updated monthly
- This is not early access for the final retail product
- New monthly releases will appear on our Itch profile as they become available
Changelog
- Added clothing configuration to gallery! You can now edit clothing/damage state for any actor that appears in the gallery.
- "C" key (keyboard) / Triangle (PS Controller) / Y (XB controller) will now, by default, open Clothing Config panel while in gallery menu.
- Changed default controller input for comparing selected item with equipped one in inventory from Right Shoulder to Left Trigger
- Removed the (now redundant) H scenes that specified clothing variants
- Added FemCop + Brute Vanilla/Rough H scenes to gallery
- Added intro, transition, and outro animations to Ring Girl + Thug H Scene
- Vioreaper Elites can now use the standard Vioreaper H scenes. They can't group with regular Vioreapers yet though.
- Fixed Semi T posing in gallery clothing config menu
- Fixed missing nipple texture on Semi
- Fixed Bunnies T posing during background event H scenes in Red Light mission
- Fixed flattened nipples while nude for Onyx / FemCop during Brute Bearhug scene
- Tweaked bindings screen input legend to be more clear
- Added Ring Girl's sign prop
- Fixed thigh squish / boob squish separation on Semi (removing on piece of clothing was toggling squish for the other)
- Overhauled rim light shader to fix ugly rim light artifacts appearing on characters' faces (Onyx especially)
- Updated and improved Spider Caverns environment art / FX
- Added artwork for Spider Cavern menu
- Add menu artwork for Outskirts mission
- Revamped Spider Cavern lighting using new lighting/material color system. Fixes glowing orange shadows.
- Rockfall trap shadows now appear before rocks fall, allowing player a chance to move. Rocks fall faster + redid visuals.
- Added WIP debris FX for Charger/Worm ground stomp, rock rain, and rockfall trap.
- Characters will now be lit properly during H scenes on Outskirts (and future maps that utilize new lighting/material system).
- Added Ground Plane Clipping system for concealing objects/actors beneath the ground
New Known Issues
- Ring Girl's sign reads backwards when triggering the H scene while left-facing

- 2 GB discrete graphics card

Are more boobs scenes planned for coming or existing characters ? If yes, in what form ?

Any chance for a macOS version?
We plan on working toward a Linux and MacOS version for the retail release ^-^. It would be a lot to keep up with for biweekly dev builds.

two questions, is there going to be more female audio sounds during scenes (moaning, yelping, etc) ? or is there already and audio needs mixing and if so how to turn down "sounds" and turn up "voice"? lastly is there plans for any mode or practice when you can play as fem-cop or any other characters? i would love to play as fem-cop and have her h-scenes be dynamic if only in a practice phase. thnx for the great work so far!
Yep there will be more vocal sounds -- we're waiting till further in development to add them for logistics purposes ^-^. No plans for FemCop to be playable atm :(
will there ever be reverse H scenes? like the player can make Onyx initiate the scenes where she is forcing the dudes into climax?
We're looking at adding things like consumables and consumable abilities to facilitate this sort of thing as a kind of super/crowd control mechanic

Do you want to add new animations for characters already in the game? Like the bunnies, a new pole dance animation, something like that. Or will a new playable character be added?
Yep we will be continually adding new animations for existing characters as well as new ones as they come. We're looking at potentially adding two more playable characters in the future ^-^
anyway to freecam?
Not yet -- we'll be adding a cinematic mode where you can toggle between animated 3D cameras in real-time.
Do I still need to pay when it comes to steam? I bought the april release

how do i unlock the gallery
Hey :D. You can unlock scenes by finding the light blue containers that randomly drop. These contain disks that unlock the scenes. You can also purchase them from Mr. Black in the Slums stage. This is just a placeholder method for unlocking scenes, we will improve upon it in the future :D
Nice Update, I like the new color for the bugs, however I am waiting for the spiders. 😉

Splicer Motobiker and Syndicate Assassin have dark skin on their default palettes :3

That's all well and good with Steam. That you can buy it there.
But in Germany it will definitely not be approved via Steam.

Hey! Currently it isn't, we're still getting things moving on the localization side of things. We do however plan to have options for it in the future!

Every month i buy the new update, to support you guys. Love the game.
But i have to say, i do miss the updates ive received on Patreon. I know there is subscribe star now. Maybe, just maybe there will be another platform where PayPal is a payment methode? 0:-)

Maybe it could be an option, if you buy the game, there will be an folder with it with the updates.
So, people on Itch can see the process and the future plans and you aint giving them away for free.

The next enemy to be added will likely be the Ghoul ^-^. We're still working on combat animations for the Dolls.

This is the latest version :D. Itch releases are named for the month in which the release was initially made on SubscribeStar (it was initially released at the end of May)

This is the demo. The studio posts monthly builds to their Patrons. This is their solution to let non-Patrons still get the paid demo without needing to subscribe.

usually creators dont give time estimates since some will see it and get mad when its not out by that time.
As Sreedslayer says, "estimates" turn into "promises" very easily when posted out of context ^-^
