PURE ONYX is an adult beat 'em up RPG for Windows PC.
The game is currently in development on SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.
Please be aware of the following!

Changelog
- Added Tier 2 clothing damage visuals for Onyx
- Added glowing armor animation FX for Police Boss
- Fix for FK-Doll's clipping arm in Brute Railing H scene
- Fixed logo flipper on Chain Splicer's jacket (broken in last update)
- Optimized game file size (21% reduction!)
- Fixed incorrect Defense value on Reactive Mesh tier 4 shirt
- Fixed incorrect price value on Photon Goggles tier 4 accessory
- Added Heavy Jacket, Carbon Top, Strapped Shorts, and Dynapumps equipment to the shops / drop tables (all Tier 3 common gear that utilize same visuals as Tier 2 gear)
- Renamed the Tier 2 accessory "Headgear" to "Headband" and added a new Tier 3 common accessory called Headgear to the shops / drop tables.
- Removed dead frames at end of Ghoul's StandUp animation
- Added GroundHit animation to Ghouls so they don't glitch out when hit while on ground
- Added early version (one section) of the first Onyx + PoliceBoss H scene to the gallery
- Added FK Doll + Brute railing sex H scene to the gallery
- Fix for equipment trade price not scaling with its durability condition
- Fixed H scene issue where belly bulges from big penetrations could get stuck and show up in other scenes (often with bad results)
- Blocked attacks no longer degrade gear durability
- Added mosaic censoring framework for upcoming JP version (not present in global version, don't worry :D. Was a big endeavor updating all rigs for this, and there's potential for bugs, so please be on the lookout for animation issues)
- Made various visual fixes to characters such as fixed blendshapes, fixed normals and made old animations compatible with new rig features
- Fixed major issue where starting the game after certain display configuration changes can prevent game from starting

Hello! big fan of the game, I bought the december update around a week ago or so, and i was wondering if it was possible to get the new January update on the same purchase, or if its required to repurchase the game to play the updated version?

still, feels like it quickly becomes a steep price.
While i understand a developer is making a great game wants to make some money, could be an idea to have lowered re-purchase rates, for people who bought a previous version.
Just an idea though, im not a developer and i dont know how much work goes into these games, no critique for the dev wether they decide to or not.

Thank you :D. I'm told it runs well on Steam Deck. People install it using Proton from what I've heard. The only downside to running it on Steam Deck currently is that gallery progress won't be saved between versions due to how the emulation layer stores files. This won't be an issue in the retail version.
Is there a plan for retail/ early access soon?? Also is there any chance to make the hitbox for the charater less 2D i find it espically annouying trying to fight some enemies as there barely above me and i cant hit them yet they can still hit me

if you really think about it, it makes sense because there's not many other areas to get proper funding for the developers and the game itself. its only funding would be what they're doing now by having to buy each version or begging for donations
I'd like to know when this will be on Steam. My credit card doesn't support here for some reason. But works on Steam well. Any news on coming to Steam?

wish in future builds, onyx will have a power move ala bare knuckle/golden axe where she initiates the H scene with the strongest enemy available then after that all that is currently spawned enemies (visible or not) gets killed or takes massive damage
Love the charger scene!
I would love to see more futa-on-female content. As it is it's pretty light on that aspect, I'll check in again in a few months to see if we get any new futaXfemale stuff.
It's wild that while it's written at the top of every release that you have to buy each release, multiple people ask every update if they have to buy it every time.

Would it be possible to do an all-girl playthrough and have only female enemies, or is this another one of those games where dicks are unavoidable?
There are filtering options for H content, which in some cases extends to enemy spawns. Enemies with futa variations will spawn as female if you toggle that off.
In case the game is 55% of the game's progression, what percentage is required to reach Steam?

We're looking at adding two additional playable characters but there are no plans for the enemies to be playable at the moment.

i saw a new boss in x (Twitter) which looks like a skeleton man with two head. Is there a date for that boss coming?
Will be a while, sculpt was just finished so he needs low poly / rigging etc. before animation begins :D

So what happens after I buy the alpha release? does it overwrite the new versions or are all versions just available so you can still get the full experience if you purchased late? will there ever be a full or complete version of the game or do you have to purchase every version to get the full experience?
The latest version contains all the content of previous versions :D. You don't need previous versions -- only the latest is available for purchase. There will be a completed version available for retail ^-^.

If I buy this version of the game and then lets say for example a new version comes out in a month, do I have to pay again? Or will my version be updated?
You have to buy each new version each month, to keep it ‘fair’ to his Patreon backers. If you don’t buy the next months version you can still play the version you paid for.

Is a mobile version possible in the future? The game ran relatively well on a very old laptop, at 30 fps on several maps, with drops when enemies appeared and then it went back to 25-30.
Overall, the only thing that didn't run well was "Red Light", in which everything dropped to 11 fps.
AMD a4 3310mx apu, That was the processor.
Obviously, with everything at a minimum
We had someone run it on a modern Snapdragon mobile device via emulation and they reported it ran decently (in the 30 FPS realm), which was really surprising to me. I think yes eventually, but it will require an input overhaul and lower level of detail on models IMO.
Do you plan on putting Extra content on these Alpha Releases?
like a gallery to see Concept art you have for future Alphas and up until Full Release??
I've considered adding collectible content for the Codex submenu in the pause menu. That and potentially unlockable art in the Bestiary :D.

One of the animators is starting work on one of the sections, so possibly pretty soon :D

Yes, I believe they do this in order to mirror how the patreon pay model works. A lot of people subscribe for the month of the release then unsub after download. So I think they use twitch for ppl who would prefer to transact that way.

Hate to break it to you, this is the demo. It's a paid demo they release monthly at the cost of a patreon sub. I only buy it about once a year but it's easily worth it every time I do.
