PURE ONYX is an adult beat 'em up RPG for Windows PC.
The game is currently in development on SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.

- Added early version of Onyx + PoliceBoss kneeling BJ H scene
- Added Onyx T4 clothing damage visuals
- Fixed Onyx's hair clipping with T2 and T4 jacket collars during Walk animation
- Fixed Onyx using the wrong turn animation in some cases (was causing her to jerk back to idle stance before turning)
- Fixed bug where newly spawned actors' (including Onyx's) first left/right movement triggered turning animation even if they were already facing correct direction
- Fixed some cases where Onyx would dodge in the wrong direction
- Enemies should use turn animations more reliably
- Fixed Femcop's AI stalling from turn changes
- Onyx can change direction mid combo again
- Slide attack is now combo-able, making it easier to slide mid-combo instead of performing an unintended kick attack.
- Localization update for Spanish and Chinese
- Added glowing armor and jet FX to the new Onyx + PoliceBoss animations
- Added first iteration of new Onyx + PoliceBoss H Scene to the gallery: "Face-Time"
- Added grapple intro animation to Onyx + PoliceBoss H scenes
- Renamed first Onyx + PoliceBoss H Scene to "Hang-Time"
- Added FX for Police Boss' energy handcuffs and jets during H scene
- Fixed the dong armor panel unintentionally showing during PoliceBoss + Onyx H scene
- Added face animations and clothing/hair fixes to FK-Doll + Brute Railing H scene.
- Added first iteration of Onyx vocal FX to combat
- Added Voice Volume slider to Options
- Made Onyx's transition to Defend stance snappier

ATM it's out of scope -- we're hoping to add additional playable characters though :D.
I think we can have a kiss scene between onyx and the male cop ..it will make the scene more engaging in the vanilla scene :)

Hey :D. These development releases aren't the retail release, in case there's any confusion there. These are monthly releases that match our SubscribeStar and Fansly crowdfunding rewards. Terms haven't been worked out yet for the retail version of the game, so I can't answer your question yet -- it's a good question though :D.

Your Patron when you said you reverted your scenes because steam took down your game. As well as the unofficial discord where people talked about it for a day.
Pure Onyx has never been on Steam. We were removed from Patreon, not Steam :D.

Finally got around to play this after getting a computer that can actually run games. It may have only been the August build but it was a lot of fun. This is the first time I've seen an adult game with gameplay and an art style good enough to make me want to play it.
The full release is definitely on my buy list.
What's the timeline for the full-release?
I bought the Jan 2025 pre-release and it seems very early in the development still. Amazing animations btw.
Will runts ever get their own animations instead of just being follow-up to others? Considering there's a few places where you have multiple runts in a wave, it's a shame to not have them take advantage of that.

will you have to re-unlock scenes in new updates and how do you go about unlocking them in the current version?
The gallery unlocks are persistent between releases, except on Steam Deck currently b/c of how it compartmentalizes files due to emulation. Currently you unlock them via random drops and by purchasing them from Mr. Black in the Slums stage, but this is just a placeholder system.
Seeing a lot of new faces the past few days :D. If you just learned about the game, where did you see or hear about it?
For me, I only just started looking at games of this avenue recently and saw this game come up on this website.
It's by far the best artstyle and has the best animations of any other game in the related genres, IMO. All while being an actual game you can play; not some lame visual novel. Full, "realistic" 3d often looks ugly and uncanny valley, and the 2d games are often either AI generated art or flash animation quality art.
That being said, I do have an honest worry as to how this game will end up. I'm willing to support it (already bought this month's version) but I've heard things about the previous game, and also have noticed this game appears to have been in development for a long time. I'm hoping there's a decent amount coming in the near future.
Again though, what's there looks great.
Some general things that would be cool to see:
This dude has some good points that I totally agree with. I too looked around at other adult/hentai type games and they all seem to be some stills with a bunch of reading script with an occasional cut scene. The gameplay itself is like a basic Mario brothers style character moving around some lame scenery. I love the gameplay of Pure Onyx and the game itself is just a hot as the sex scenes. The more u guys incorporate the game itself being sexy, the funner this game will be. I LOVE the idea of the bad guys doing some sexual acts to Onyx during fighting, rather than just during the cut scene. Maybe just a few thrusts and then they smack her down. Or a kick to the snatch, or maybe they start fucking her and she breaks free before they unload completely, All fun ideas.

this game like the beat em up games but i thought it was going to be more characters in this game but i can say that this game is amazing should have a story to it i love it, my question though is will there be more characters or just play with the female?

I don't know if I'm understanding the writing here, is it just not gonna be a consistently updated game, (monthly) or is it that when I purchase it I'll have to repurchase it later?
The game will be updated each month, but you'll have to repurchase/spend 8 dollars again. This is to emulate/be similar to the subscribestar page they have set up, in which it's a monthly subscription pay to get access to the most recent version.
If you spend 8 dollars here, you won't get the February 2025 build.

Oh I see, well I'll be waiting for the early access then, consider it a pre-order.
Got a bunch of questions/comments. One, is the cinematic mode currently built into the game? Secondly, even though the game is in development, it would be more enjoyable to have all the levels with an end rather than most levels having unlimited gameplay. Lastly, I’m actually an author for a post-apocalyptic hentai-esque book series and soundtrack composer. If your team ever wants to release a book series that tells the story of the game or need music help, hit me up!
Cinematic mode isn't in yet D:
Regarding survival mode, we had been waiting on adding a few more enemies so that we have meaningful compositions for at least a couple factions before revamping it. I'm personally focused on completing map artwork for more mission-style stages (similar to how Slums is now, but longer).

Will downloading not work if i have a previous version already downloaded?
These dev releases don't require installation, they just run from the folder. The versions are independent of one another. Gallery progress is saved elsewhere so it will carry over.
I was curious what plans you had with "Vanilla" and "Rough" variants of the animations. When I first tried the game out, I only accidentally realized that there was a toggle for the two modes, while I wondered why the female officers were doing a different animation from the one I was expecting.
From aesthetics alone, it looks like Onyx could either "seduce" enemies into using the Vanilla variant, or be affected by some sort of aphrodisiac that makes her open to such grapples.
We had to censor the rough ones due to Patreon, then Patreon banned us anyways 😂. We kept the ones we did in-game -- we may use them for some mechanic.

Is this going to have an xbox controller layout? It's really awkward to play it on a keyboard.
It's already natively compatible with XB and PS controllers :D
i was wondering if there is any intention of adding additional H scenes to basic units like the thugs, chains and runts? It's great dealing with a gang of them but i think even one extra animation for each (or perhaps other combos like 2x runt or 2x thug) would really add a lot of value to a large part of the game.

Will the game be released on Android?
It's something I'd like to do after the PC release -- for a polished mobile release it will take some optimization such as mobile shaders and potentially lower poly models, as well as various extensions to input.
I've been following the project for some time now and I'm very interested in it, especially after reading the roadmap, so I'd like to know if the game will be sold on Steam in the Russian region?

Hey! Do you have Steam open in the background? For whatever reason Steam's controller overlay can interact with non-Steam Unity games. Try closing it, or let me know if that isn't the case and we can look further :D.
no i don't have use steam open background, i using wire connecting the controller
Are you using DS4 Windows by chance? Third party PS controller drivers tend to be incompatible with the game. Same with any third party software for mapping PS inputs to XB.
I don't sure what is a ds4 but I didn't download or change my window I just using the ps5 charger wire to connect controller. Before this time, It seems like you were still using Patreon at that time？ I use the same method but no have any problems.
Sorry for the late reply! We were able to replicate the exact issue by starting Steam with the controls overlay in the background. Are you sure Steam is not running in the taskbar?

Animating the different hair for all the different H scenes to remove clipping would become impractical :(, but we are looking at adding additional playable characters.
Currently the various locations highlight some of the different modes / mechanics you'll see in gameplay. The Skyline / Sewers / Spider Caverns are all survival wave maps though currently, so those are pretty similar. Most of the actual game will be in mission format similar to the Slums.
The major difference with the subscription is the monthly progress update (usually a few pages long, showcasing progress on content that won't be seen in game for a while). On SubscribeStar we have a Discord tier, where we share a lot more updates, basically daily.

Probably won't have playable enemies -- the animation system requires a lot of manual work and we can't guarantee enemies will share all of Onyx's animations. We are looking at additional playable characters though :D.
