PURE ONYX is an adult beat 'em up RPG for Windows PC.
The game is currently in development on SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.
Please be aware of the following!
- This purchase will not be updated monthly
- This is not early access for the final retail product
- New monthly releases will appear on our Itch profile as they become available
Changelog
- Added Charger + Onyx H Scene to both gallery and gameplay
- Added H attack version of Charge ability to Charger
- Added backend capability for enemy H attacks to damage environment objects and/or deal friendly fire damage to enemies
- Added Chinese translation to Language options (images containing text yet to be updated)
- Added Spanish (Spain) translation to Language options (images containing text yet to be updated)
- Fixed major issue with some ultra widescreen displays displaying incorrectly
- Upgraded FemCop's portraits
- Added proximity ambush traps (for now just to Outskirts). These trigger a single Vioreaper ambush when Onyx moves on top of them.
- Upgraded Red-Light (Dancefloor) map's background art / environment FX
- Added reflections to Red-Light (Dancefloor) map
- Fixed blending mode and floor clipping issues on fire trap FX
- Fire trap FX no longer move out of position when the camera is zoomed in
- Characters once again have the correct animation playback speed when moving vertically
New Known Issues
- Some elements still need translation for new languages (Help screen, Controls screen, some others)
- Onyx's jacket/nipples need animation (currently clips / are perma-flat) during Charger scene

- Windows 7/8/10/11
- 8 GB of RAM
- 2 GB discrete graphics card

I have the old version of the game. Do I have to purchase it again to update it to the new version?
Hey! Thank you for the support :D. These are development releases that go out to our monthly SubscribeStar backers, so yes each one is standalone. The game will be available for a single purchase once it's complete or in early access!
will you guys do a physical version for consoles/pc in the future? (After the retail version releases.)
Consoles are out of the question because of content, and PC's don't have disc drives anymore :D. I'd love to, but it doesn't really make a lot of sense.
My game won't even load up period
Can you send us your log files? Zip the following folder:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Eromancer\pure-onyx
And send it to us as eromancer@eromancergames.com! We'll take a look at it right away.

The game appears in 'My Library,' but I did not receive a download link.
There isn't a red Download button underneath the game on the "My Library" page?

Can you email itch support at support@itch.io ? I have no control over that unfortunately.
Were you able to learn anything about the issue? I was told it's possible to add the game to your library without actually purchasing it. Perhaps your payment didn't go through? I'd still recommend contacting itch support!
I contacted itch support yesterday, and I am currently waiting for a response. I have also double-checked to confirm that I have indeed made the payment.
If they haven't responded yet -- can you email me at eromancergames@gmail.com with the email address you used to make the purchase? I can check it against my records to see if it went through and send you a download link another way. Sorry about the inconvenience :(

Hey I was wondering if you were planning to add a multiplayer option for co-op at some point

They are released on itch at the beginning of each month, usually around the 2nd ^-^. We have intermediary releases during the month on our SubscribeStar.
Do I need to buy this version to get the updates and will this over-ride my 2023 game or will this sit in my library as an alt copy?
Hey :D. Yeah, these are development releases that our SubscribeStar backers receive each month. It won't override the 2023 version.
Could I ask for the splash artist or main artist' twitter/x handle, who did the character design and cover art. Would love to see his other art and follow his x or pixiv if available. Thank you.
Any future plans for Linux support?
We're planning on releasing a Linux build for the retail release (and possibly some earlier larger releases) :D.
The design idea of this game is great and this game has a lot of potential if this game is being developed... it can be the best game in its own style, for example you can have more playable characters or you can have a regular story line by adding voice actor in videos . Playing or adding powers, unique techniques.. Sorry, the text is long because it was very well made, it became my favorite. I hope the final version will come on Steam as soon as possible. Finally, my request, put many and varied animations and characters Have fun with many more animations... gangbang animations. thank you very much
In the gallery section, i can only select a character with arrow keys but can't select a scene, the mouse won't show up?
Hey :D. You have to unlock scenes before viewing them. You can unlock them by finding a disk (light blue container) from enemies as a random drop, or by purchasing the disk from Mr. Black in the Slums. This is a placeholder unlock mechanic and will be updated with something better in the future :D.
Do u need to buy this version if u have a old one?
Yeah, these are standalone development builds that go out to our SubscribeStar backers each month. Once the game enters early access / is available for retail it'll be a single price.
Is there going to be controller support anytime
Hey :D. It's already natively compatible with Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Third party controllers should also work.

August release will come in early September -- the naming is a month behind because these are the SubscribeStar releases (they are released at the end of the prior month on that site)
You guys should add some lesbian foot domination/humiliation worship in this game that would be the dream but great stuff already cant wait to play :)
I cant run the game,what is the file to instal? i just try pure-onyx file and unity file and nothing :(
You need to unzip the folder and move it to somewhere with read/write access, like your Desktop (as an example). Then run the pure-onyx.exe file. No files need installing :D.

Subscribed to support this wonderful project. I got this game working on the steamdeck via wine. It plays fantastic on the deck.
The animations are staggering. I can't wait to see the progress. I assume there will be deeper combo routes as development progresses. The H scenes are absolutely delightful and match the 80s and 90s H vibes. Superb game so far. I can't put it down!

It's not normal, but has been happening to our pages with some regularity on here. Our projects have no password protected files, nor do they have any external links, so I have no idea why they are being flagged.
The only game I was waiting for on Steam that never came

This happens practically every month and the reasons I'm given seem to change. Last time it was that we had external links to our Discord. I assume it's haters / pirates reporting it.

Enjoyed the game! Literally paid for the June release within hours of this, haha. Question: are there any plans to have alternative protagonists? Even if it's just a model swap, I think that'd be really great. Would love to play as FK-Doll or Fem Cop.

i recently switched to linux do you guys plan to release this cross platform using web assembly?
We will likely have Mac and Linux versions of the retail release, but aren't doing them for the development builds.
