PURE ONYX is an adult beat 'em up RPG for Windows PC.
The game is currently in development on SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.

- Reduced input latency on attacks by 50-125 ms (3-7 frames approximately)
- Fixed issues with combo system dropping some input during combo chains if timed a specific way (next attack in combo would fail to fire)
- Added floating damage numbers
- Added toggle for floating damage numbers to Options
- Added manual IP entry for Lovense config
- Fixed possible soft crash caused by bugged Crawler spitballs
- Fixed Brute walk in place caused by turn after ran out of stamina from chasing Onyx werk
- Added FX for Crawler spit cannon explosion
- Pressing Escape while in command console now closes the console window.
- Brute's Punch attacks now have a better hurtbox
- Items are no longer skipped over when you quickly spam the pick-up button
- Fixed blendshape normals (fixes shadow glitches) for Semi
- You can once again change direction mid combo
- Hit/damage VFX now determined by the attack that was thrown
- Blade Bunny's attacks now play a slash FX when they strike Onyx
- Added fire hit/damage FX to ground fire and fire traps
- Added floating Stagger gauge on/off option in Options
- Added floating Stagger gauge setting that only shows the gauge when Stagger is > 0 (new default).
- Enemies can no longer be hit twice or more simultaneously. Prevents damage/FX/SFX stacking from multiple environment damage sources.
- Increased ground fire damage from 1-3 to 3-5 to balance the above (also makes fire appropriately threatening to player now)
New Known Issues
- If you mash attacks mid-dodge it can prevent Onyx from turning in the held direction when she lands (thus causing attack to fire in wrong direction).
- Onyx plays the wrong turning animation in some situations.
- Fire Hit FX move out of position on some animations like Knockdown. This is due to needing a more advanced FX locator system.

maybe you bought an earlier version of the game since this is basically like a patreon sub where you have to buy every monthly update till the game comes out on steam

You buy the version for that release, so if you're worried about wanting future updates, just wait until the game comes out.
firstly, gameplay feels much better with the lower delay, excellent job.
next, i've played a few versions of this now, and i think the biggest issue ive found is, its just too easy. to play it with the actual intent to win, you wouldn't get a single h-scene. enemies need to be a bit more aggressive, or when you get knocked down, prioritize getting close and grabbing. Although, some enemies grab attacks, like the vioreaper don't actually hit you when you're down.
and lastly, charger animation when?

I completely agree with the difficulty statements. Currently with the sandbox type gameplay you run into a bunch of enemies that you normally wouldn't encounter until later in the game, so we have to tune it toward the easy side. Another cause is Onyx's dodge is overpowered currently, especially since some enemies weren't originally designed for Onyx to have that sort of mobility and need some buffs. We'll be increasing the stamina cost of dodge in an upcoming release so it has to be used more strategically.
Charger animation is coming :D, we've been working on a few different prototypes o.o
oh yeah, if dodge costed 50% or more stamina, that would help a lot
if I bought a previous version of the game do I need to pay again to play the newest?

can you go 3d mode?
Not yet but it's in the works. It's called cinematic mode, and you'll be able to toggle into it and between 3D cameras with a button press. Will work both in-game and in the gallery ^-^. You can check out some previews of it on our twitter or redgifs.

Yep we're going to add a more comprehensive clothing system to the gallery soon :D.

We intend to release the completed game on Steam :D. It may be available for early access once it's closer to completion.

Yes almost certainly. We have a couple that feature some of these elements already.
